The Visions for Education™ project focuses on developing the resources of Dayspring, Inc. and increasing the organization’s capacity to:
- develop and implement year-round, innovative, research-based programs designed to support children’s development of higher order as well as basic skills
- create a state-of-the-art educational facility equipped with quality academic resources that support children’s development of facility in reading, speaking, writing, mathematical, scientific, and technological domains via the following dedicated work spaces:
- Technology Studio
- Science and Math Lab
- Community Library and Media Center
- Teaching Kitchen
- Music and Recording Studio
- Performing Arts Space
- develop and implement curriculums that support children’s acquisition of nonacademic and community-valued knowledge and competencies in the socioemotional, spiritual/moral, leadership, creativity, and self awareness domains
- train program teaching staff and volunteers to use effective teaching strategies for engaging children from diverse backgrounds in academic learning
- partner with professional organizations and higher educational institutions to help develop curriculum and provide mentors for children enrolled in Dayspring’s educational programs
- develop and implement parent education activities that support parental development of knowledge and competencies associated with effective parenting and supporting children’s academic achievement
- engage community residents and local businesses, churches, organizations, and institutions in contributing to successful program outcomes by volunteering their time, expertise, and resources in support of program activities
- design and implement periodic evaluations of the effectiveness and impact of Dayspring’s programs and services on participants and on the community
- generate knowledge, tools, and insights that can be systematically documented and shared with others as examples, lessons, and models of practice.
