The Visions for Education™ Project is designed to provide underserved children and youth in Park Heights and surrounding communities sufficient access to educational settings that
- increase children’s opportunity to learn high-level academic subject matter in the sciences, mathematics, humanities, and arts
- give attention to moral, spiritual, character, leadership, and identity development
- increase children’s access to quality academic resources
- promote family and community support for academic achievement and high quality education
- support family/community goals for education
- facilitate the development of positive attitudes, attributes, and behaviors related to academic success
- function as protective factors in the lives of children who are at risk for poor developmental outcomes as a result of adverse conditions within their schools and neighborhoods
- enable children to achieve high levels of academic proficiency and to experience positive developmental outcomes such as high school completion and college graduation.
