Rooted in Baltimore’s Park Heights/Pimlico community since 1982, Dayspring, Inc. provides children with high-quality educational programs, services, and resources that support and promote their total development (intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical) and help them become productive, giving members of society.
The purpose of the DAYSPRING RUN/WALK FOR EDUCATION 2015 is to raise funds for the Visions for Education (VFE) initiative designed to provide intellectually rigorous educational programs that support high academic achievement and positive developmental outcomes for students in Grades 4 to 12. The VFE initiative includes a capital campaign to raise $2M to build a 8500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art education center to provide programs in science, math, art, technology, leadership skills, etc., for ten times more students, parents, community members, and teachers than can be accommodated in the existing center.
JOIN our team as a runner/walker by following these three easy steps:
Step 1:
Register for your choice race at www.thebaltimoremarathon.com. Choose to walk or run in the Kids Fun Run, 5K, Half-Marathon, or Marathon race.
Step 2:
Sign-up to join the Dayspring Run/Walk For Education 2015 Team here. (Signing up is free and includes a free t-shirt, sponsor discounts, and other goodies!)
Step 3:
Search for “DayspringVisions” on MakeYesHappen.com; then, click “Join the Group”, and follow the instructions. You can now begin raising funds from your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors by sending them to MakeYesHappen.com to make a secure online donation to Dayspring using their credit or debit card.

Search for DayspringVisions on MakeYesHappen.com. Then, click the athlete’s photo at the bottom of the page to donate to Dayspring in the team member’s name. MakeYesHappen will send your donation directly to Dayspring, Inc. (If you prefer to support a team member by writing a check to Dayspring, Inc., please write the team member’s name on the check memo line and either give your check to the team member or mail it to Dayspring, Inc., 5351-5353 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215.)

If you are not interested in supporting a specific Dayspring team member, you can donate directly and securely to Dayspring by clicking here or you can mail your donation (check) to Dayspring, Inc., 5351-5353 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215.
PLEDGE to support a team member by following these two easy steps:
Step 1:
Complete the Pledge Giving Form here. Place your team member’s name in the Acknowledgement Information section of the Pledge Giving Form.
Step 2:
When you are ready to fulfill your pledge, follow the instructions in the preceding section (CHOOSE ONE of the following ways to DONATE…). Your pledge must be fulfilled on or before October 17, 2015.
VOLUNTEER to help Dayspring reach our fundraising goal for this event.

We need volunteers to help us plan and organize pre-race events; recruit sponsors; solicit in-kind donations; provide photography and video services; create social media buzz, press releases, and promotional materials; transport runners/walkers on race day…and much more.
